What constitutes a great book? Is it the plot or structure of a well presented story? Maybe it is the style of writing wrapped in descriptive verbal dialogues of characters and ideas. Perhaps a combination of the two along with a spread of new concepts that bend the mind into new ways of thinking and understanding. All this leads to which of the above and more is the reason for your favorite book? Personally a favorite childhood book of mine, The Giver, is still ingrained in my brain as being a prominent interesting read. Over the years this still remains as a memorable book that I refer to when asked the question; ‘What is your favorite book?’ Over the years as we develop into new personalties and continually forming conscience beings we tend to increase our library. My recent favorites have been Thinking Fast and Slow (Daniel Kahneman), Godel Eshcer Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid (Douglas Hofstadter) and Meditations (Marcus Aurelius). Each one has created new connections in the brain that strive to solve for truth and meaning. So what is your favorite book?
